ABOUT US
The Central Coast Film Society was formed with an idea of creating a place where local filmmakers had a place to grow as artists and to show movies we all love to the Central Coast community. In 2018, founder Daniel Lahr, began the official procedures in creating the Central Coast Film Society as a nonprofit organization.
The Central Coast Film Society incorporated on March 20, 2018, and was later granted official 501(c)(3) charitable organization status by the IRS on March 7, 2019 and is retroactive to the date of the official incorporation date.

CCFS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Carlos Eduardo Plummer
|
Carlos Plummer began making short films at the young age of 8 with his brother, Kyle. As he grew older, he began to also grow to love the craft and art of filmmaking - refining and learning whatever he could. In High School, his efforts in documentary filmmaking earned him several student accolades at festivals across the country.
While attending film school at Utah Tech University, Carlos began to hone his craft and acquire new skills in Assistant Directing and Sound Design (his degree emphasis) by working on several of the student films and extra-curricular projects. Carlos currently works alongside his brother Kyle as the Co-Founder/chief Sound Designer of SuperImage, Ltd. |

Daniel Lahr grew up on a ranch in Los Alamos, California and has been making independent films since he was 15 years old. His films went on to play at multiple festivals around the country winning awards and accolades along the way. He went on to receive his Bachelors of Fine Arts in Motion Pictures and Television at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco.
After working in the Hollywood industry for a few years, he began working in the hospitality and tourism industry and managed world famous attractions throughout the state. He came back home to the Central Coast with his family and began to make the dream of a film society and festival in his community a reality with the Central Coast Film Society, which was founded in 2018.
